KATIE APPLEQUIST (‘18) is attending Kent State University after she graduates. She plans to study Adolescent/young adult and social studies education with the hopes of being a high school history teacher. When asked about her regrets, Applequist stated that “I regret that I did not start doing musicals until my sophomore year.” Her favorite memory from high school is when the Marching band qualified for state competition at the horseshoe.

OLIVIA CARPENTER (‘18) is attending Ithaca in New York after she graduates. She plans to study Journalism with the hopes of becoming a sports broadcaster in the future. When asked about regrets in high school, Carpenter explained that she had none. Her favorite memory from high school is when the marching band got a one at States. This was her favorite memory because it took a team effort to reach their goals.

KATELYN DARBY (‘18) is attending Pittsburgh University after she graduates and plans to study Pharmacy. When asked about her regrets in high school, Darby stated that she had none. Her favorite memory is during Spanish class when Megan Trainer (‘18) threw an exercise ball at Addie Van Kirk (‘18) and broke the sugar skulls and the sugar went all over the floor.
CORA DORMAN (‘18) is attending the Ohio State University after she graduates high school. She plans to study Agribusiness and Applied Economics. When asked about her regrets, Dorman stated that “ I regret not starting Chinese as a freshman and I also regret not trying my hardest freshman year.” Her favorite memory was during her sophomore year when the student section ran onto the field after a win, and Caylee Lindsay (‘18) lost her shoe, fell, and almost got trampled by the football team.
HALEY DRUMM (‘18) is looking into doing an Internship in New York for writing after high school. When asked about her regrets from her years in high school, Drumm stated that “I regret not cheering all the way through high school. I also regret losing focus and not applying myself.” Her favorite memory is anything to do with choir. She loves that there are no clicks and everything is fun.
MADDI GIFFIN (‘18) is attending Otterbein University after she graduates and plans to study Nursing. She is very excited to get involved next year and be very active in the activities on campus. When asked about regrets in high school, Giffin stated that she has none. Her favorite memory is hanging out with her friends. She enjoyed hanging out with her friends because you only have four years together so you might as well make them the best.
MERCEDES KEIM (‘18) is currently undecided about her plans after high school. She states that, “I think that my only regret is being too scared to try new things.” Her favorite memory from high school is tie-dying t-shirts in her chemistry class.
CAYLEE LINDSAY (‘18) is attending the University of North Carolina Wilmington in order to study and major in Marine Biology. When asked about her regrets in high school, Lindsay states, “I wish I was more involved all throughout high school. I started going to a lot of games and school events towards the end of my junior year, and I wish I did all four years because some of my favorite memories come from those times with my friends!” Her favorite memories include being a part of the student section when the football team beat Newark Catholic, and when Dayna Martin (‘18) wiped out running into basketball practice.
DAYNA MARTIN (‘18) is attending Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia after high school. She is planning to study Exercise Science, with the hopes of becoming a physical therapist in the future. Martin explains that her biggest regret in high school is, “not giving it her all during all four years.” Her favorite memories from high school are the ones she spent with her friends, even if it was just sitting in someone’s car and talking for hours.
SYDNEY MILLER (‘18) is attending Bowling Green State University after she graduates. She plans to study Early Childhood Education with a possible minor in sign language. When asked about her regrets from her years in high school, Miller states, “I was really shy, and I always thought that everyone hated me.” Her favorite memories from high school include joining the swim team, meeting new friends, and, “our girls’ swim team trips to Target, where we would buy socks and hide in the store."
MEGAN SMITH (‘18) plans to attend The Ohio State University at the Newark campus for her first year of college and then transfer to main campus the next year. Smith intends to study something in the field of science, with her current major being biomedical engineering; however, Smith states that may change once she begins college. When asked if she had any regrets in high school, Smith says, “I regret not putting myself out there and making new friends that made me happy.” Her favorite memory from high school is Prom last year, which she asked Stephen Padilla (‘18) to attend with her. He is now her boyfriend.
JASON TURNER (‘18) is planning to attend The Ohio State University in the Tops Program. He has not decided on a major currently but plans to begin general classes and decide from there. When asked about regrets in high school, Turner explained that he had none. Turner also explained, “I do not have a favorite memory that comes to mind in high school. I enjoyed all four years of it.”
